Prior to joining Stewart in 2010, Warren Laird practiced law in his home county of Walker. From real property law and banking law to tort and real property litigation, Warren brings an extensive amount of expertise to his role as Alabama State Manager and Counsel.
In addition, he was appointed to fill an unexpired term as a District Court Judge in Walker County, where he also presided as a Circuit Judge in cases involving title and real property, insurance and commercial litigation. Yet, it was in 1999 when Warren assumed the role of area counsel with another title insurer and from there joined Stewart.
Warren is a member of an assortment of associations and committees, including the Alabama Bar Association, American Bar Association, Alabama Land Title Association (Governmental Affairs Chair) and the Alabama Law Institute Real Estate Committee. In addition, he lectures frequently at continuing education seminars on topics involving real property, title insurance law and ethics.
Warren earned his B.S. from the University of Alabama and his J.D. from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University.
He is the proud father of two beautiful daughters, Mary Katherine and Caroline.
