Malcolm S. Morris
Stewart Information Services Corporation Vice Chairman
Malcolm S. Morris serves as Stewart Information Services Corporation’s (SISCO) Vice Chairman of the Board, playing an active role in both state and national regulatory matters affecting the title insurance industry. He is also Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Stewart Title Guaranty Company, Chairman of Stewart Title Company, and a board member for Stewart Title Insurance Company (New York).
Previously, as SISCO Chairman and Co-Chief Executive Officer (2000–2011), and Senior Executive Vice President – Assistant Chairman for more than five years prior, Mr. Morris oversaw financial stability and improvements in efficiency of the company’s title insurer operations. He is a past president of both the Texas Land Title Association and the American Land Title Association, and a past member of the Fannie Mae Advisory Council. Mr. Morris is also on the Real Estate Roundtable's President's Council, and a member of the Houston Realty Business Coalition.
Mr. Morris received his bachelor of business administration from Southern Methodist University, a master’s degree in business administration and his doctor of jurisprudence from the University of Texas. He has also twice attended Harvard School's Program of Instruction for Lawyers. Mr. Morris is a member of the American Bar Association and its Real Property, Probate & Trust section, and a fellow of the Association; a member of the Houston Bar Association and a fellow of its Foundation; and a member of the State Bar of Texas.
Mr. Morris is also an active civic leader, having served as Chairman of Deacons of Houston’s First Baptist Church. He is a founding member, Chairman Emeritus and Executive Vice President of Living Water International, a 501(c)(3) Christian service organization that provides water to over 10 million people through hospitals, schools, churches, orphanages and villages in developing countries. Through his involvement in Living Water, Mr. Morris founded and serves as Chairman of the “Millennium Water Alliance” of American non-profit organizations, with a common goal to bring clean water to 500 million people by the year 2015.
