Events and Event Container

Adding events that you will be either attending or hosting to your website uses two Adobe® Experience Manager (AEM) components. The Events component and the Events Container component. When an Event Container is added to a page you will see a blank paragraph system that multiple Event components can be added into. This is done so that when you want to create a list of events you can use the list component that looks for event containers and then creates a list of events out of the nested Event components. Here is an example of two Event components nested in an Event Container (Event Container is not visible).

Before you can add an Event component to a page you must first add an Event Container component

Once the Event Container component has been added a blank parsys will appear. This is where we will place our Event component(s).

At this time the Event component is under construction. Not all fields in the Event component are output by the component. Below is a list of fields that will be output.

  • Event Name
  • Start Date/Time
  • End Date/Time
  • Location
  • Address 1
  • City
  • State
  • Zip
