Stewart Title of California announces Holm as new San Francisco division president

SAN DIEGO (Nov. 8, 2007) – Michael H. Holm has been named the new division president for Stewart Title of California – San Francisco.

“San Francisco represents new and exciting opportunities for us,” said Brian Hurley, president of Stewart Title of California. “From our experience in high-end residential transactions, to our focus on specialized services for multicultural markets, to the strength of our resources in commercial transactions, San Francisco’s title and escrow needs and Stewart’s service and product strengths are perfectly matched. Our strategy is now entrusted to a seasoned manager with well-honed talents for building market recognition and market share.”

Holm most recently worked as Nevada state sales manager for Commonwealth Title, implementing a sizable increase in both market share and revenue. He had previously worked as vice president of sales for developer services in Southern California for LandAmerica.

His background includes management and sales, in addition to time in training camps for both the Seattle Seahawks and Pittsburgh Steelers NFL football teams. That experience followed his years of playing football at Riverside City College and Portland State, from which he earned his bachelor’s degree.

“Competitive sports at all levels preach teamwork, and I know from my career on and off the field, nothing could be more important,” said Holm. “One thing has been constant throughout my experiences – you are only as good as the people around you. Our goals for San Francisco are simple: build the strongest team of sales, escrow and title possible, and simply out-work and out-think our competitors.”
