With the need for a full-service acute care hospital in Northwest Houston, St. Luke’s Episcopal Health System is building a 200,000 to 250,000-square-foot medical facility in anticipation of further community growth. The service area for the planned hospital is home to over 400,000 residents and is expected to grow by an additional 50,000 new residents within the next five years.

St. Luke’s purchased the 28 acres of land within The Vintage, a 630-acre master-planned, mixed-use development created by Kickerillo and Mischer’s V&W Partners, Ltd. Working in collaboration with area physicians and the local medical community regarding campus planning and design, the new facility will feature approximately 90 new patient beds and a connecting medical office building close to 60,000 square feet.

Earl Swensson and Associates of Nashville, a prestigious architectural firm known for creating high-value, comprehensive healthcare environments, estimates project completion in 2011. Additional plans are underway for a second potential office building on the site.
