Built in 1995, the TD Garden is an approximate 755,000 square-foot sports arena located in the hustle and bustle of downtown Boston, Massachusetts. TD Garden and its predecessor, the Boston Garden®, were home to multiple Boston Bruins® and Boston Celtics® championship runs. The site is also home to North Station, one of Boston’s busiest commuter rail stations, which provides transportation to millions of passengers per year.

A major development project on the site of the old Boston Garden is in the works and will include retail, restaurants, sports bars and new pro shops for both the Boston Bruins and Boston

Celtics. An extensive residential development project, as well as a 40-story complex of 500 residential units, are also planned for the area. In June 2012, the first step in the project was completed when the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) secured a 75-year lease on the parking garage under the Boston Garden to Stewart’s insured, Garden Parking Corporation, one of Delaware’s subsidiaries.

Because of the building’s rich history and ideal location, the project will be one of the most important developments in Boston history.
