What was once a 240-space parking lot is now iFly Virginia Beach – an indoor skydiving facility and major year-round tourist attraction for every age.

The project is three levels with air conditioning inside the flight chamber and throughout the building. It includes a party room on the flight deck, an observation area on the second floor, and a corporate conference room on the third floor.

Industrial-sized fans make it possible for customers to become airborne by pulling air from the facility’s large basement into a vertical wind tunnel that’s approximately 14 feet across and 50-feet tall.

Fliers are lifted off their feet as soon as they step into the glass tunnel and remain suspended on a cushion of air, allowing them to mimic skydiving.

iFly has had customers from ages three to 103. Included in one flight session are pre-flight instructions, equipment (with a helmet) and an instructor to stay with fliers throughout flight.
