Comprised of nearly 12,600 square feet of retail space and 280 residential units, Alta 5550 is a mixed-use development positioned west of the Hollywood and Western Metro Red Line stop. Smart growth and land use concepts include development along rail transit, pedestrian-oriented retail, infill development and high average density.

In constructing this transit-oriented, approximately two-acre project, developers have been sensitive to preserving the past. Alta 5550 will incorporate and maintain The Meline Building, a 1920s two-story brick structure used as a recording studio and the façade of Falcon Studios, another 1920s building where the original Zorro star, Errol Flynn, taught fencing lessons.

Also as part of its public benefit, Alta 5550 will offer various economical units for very low-income residents.

Amenities will include a swimming pool, outdoor fireplaces, resident lounge, elevated courtyard areas, workout facilities and a theater room. In addition, a senior housing facility is nearby, and plenty of shopping and dining are just steps away.
