SafePlace Wins Popular Vote

28 JUNE 2012

Throughout the month of May, Gracy hosted a contest on our Facebook page and invited friends in the community to vote from six selected charites. SafePlace was the clear winner and the recipient of a $1,000 donation.

The proceeds will provide 62 hours of counseling sessions for people healing from sexual and domestic violence.

On June 19, Gracy Title executives paid a visit to the SafePlace Resource Center to deliver the donation. Featured from left to right: Wanda Frederick (President of Gracy Title), Susan Yates (Director of Development at SafePlace), David Tandy (CEO of Gracy Title), Nicki Tyler (Board Director for SafePlace), Gaye Pierce (Chief Operating Officer at Gracy Title).

Thank you to everyone who voted and to all the fantastic Austin charities! A special thank you to Nicole Boynton of Gracy Title who headed up the efforts to make this contest possible.

2012 Wonder Ball

Donna Simmons is shown here next to Bodacious. Along with three other mini horses, they entertained a crowd of over 500 this weekend at the annual Wonder Ball dance. Everyone came in costume and had a blast, including the minis.

Wonders and Worries hosts this annual community event that gives fathers, or father figures (uncles, grandfathers, etc.), and their daughters a chance to make memories that will last a lifetime. Proceeds benefit Wonders and Worries, a non-profit organization that provides counseling and support to help children cope with a serious or life-threatening, ill parent.
