Lease

Bankruptcy

A lease is part of the bankruptcy estate. The trustee, however, may either accept or reject the lease, and it is assumed rejected sixty days after the order for relief if by that time it has not been accepted. Therefore, if an order for relief has been entered and sixty days have expired without the lease having been accepted by the trustee then it can be assumed rejected and of no further affect upon the title.
