As a Stewart Trusted Provider, we always want to work with you and create more ways for you to increase revenue and improve customer relationships. So, we’ve teamed up with the Texas Real Estate Commission to offer your REALTOR® customers continuing education courses. They receive credit for each course attended and expand their knowledge while becoming more competitive in their market.

When you offer this training, it helps strengthen relationships, makes you look good to your REALTOR® customers and can increase your success.

Available courses:

This one-hour course is designed to combine Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB’s) new industry laws, standards, and expectations with a re-commitment to Consumer Customer Service. The real-estate professional will benefit from this course as they learn how to ensure consumers are well cared for before during and after the listing.  Attendees will understand that the Bureau is changing some processes in our industry and realtors will become familiar with these new changes, why they occur, and how to be prepared every step of the way.

This course is designed to educate REALTORS on what happens after a contract is received by a Title Company.  The real-estate professional will benefit from this course as it incorporates the review of a contract and the vital details necessary for a Title Agent to issue a commitment.  Attendees will understand that open communication and teamwork are essential from the minute the contract is receipted to the completion of the transaction.

Taught in a live, in-class environment designed to encourage student interaction and discussion, Legal Update Part 1 is a mandatory continuing education course required for real estate license renewal beginning January 1, 2016. The course will focus on subject matter related to current regulations, forms and professional standards for real estate.  Topics covered include:

  • Texas Real Estate Commission Statute and Rules Update
  • Property Management
  • Buyers, Landlords, Tenants, and Sellers
  • Promulgated Contract and Addendum Forms
  • Unauthorized Practice of Law

1 Elective Credit Hours

Course # 31087

Course will discuss economic trends and cycles, the causes and effects of each. Topics will include regulation changes resulting from the last two cycles, the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, the creation of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), the Importance of title Insurance, and other ways consumers are protected by realtors and title Insurance professionals.

Course will present a straightforward overview of the survey amendment and T-19 endorsement to provide realtors with a fundamental understanding of the coverages and exclusions in order to better educate their customers. Instructor will discuss what a survey is, why one would get a survey, what the survey exception Is, how coverage Is affected, why the exception may be modified, and what happens when the exception is modified. T-19 discussion will cover sections 1-5 of the endorsement, Its benefits, coverage, and T-19.2 and T-19.3 qualifying land.
