Stewart Information International, Inc. (Stewart) is the primary operating subsidiary through which Stewart performs real estate information related business and projects outside the United States. Stewart works directly through its own business and project offices, business partners, and subsidiaries in 11 countries including Slovakia, Czech Republic, Poland, Australia, the United Kingdom, Israel, Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Honduras and the United States. Stewart also conducts business and manages projects, as appropriate to customer needs, by drawing upon the resources, capabilities and personnel of other Stewart affiliated companies in the United States, particularly Stewart's specialized land records, technical services and information systems subsidiaries.

In Mexico, Canada, Australia, Czech Republic Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Poland and the United Kingdom, real estate ownership information, transaction services, and title and mortgage guarantees are the primary businesses. Stewart is a partner in the first mortgage insurance company in Israel, reducing the equity requirement for homebuyers and thereby increasing home ownership. Local property tax information systems are being installed across Slovakia, providing critically needed revenues to support the infrastructure of towns, as well as land registration and utility infrastructure information systems. In Hungary, Stewart worked with EBRD to develop and implement the first secured transaction registration system in Europe, now used to secure and report hundreds of loans using movable property as collateral each month.

Stewart also provides escrow trust accounting for banks, independent title and escrow companies, buyers, sellers and other real estate professionals.

Additionally, Stewart offers real estate project management, consulting and production services to foreign, federal, state and local government agencies. Representative current projects include the automation of property ownership and taxation records for the local governments in Washington D.C. and the U.S. Virgin Islands, and US Agency for International Development (USAID) financed land privatization project in the Republic of Moldova and Republic of Georgia. Stewart is currently working on a USAID funded project for Real Estate Market Development project in the Republic of Serbia.
