Landata Systems promotes Gary Morris to senior vice president, Chuck Warner to vice president

HOUSTON - (July 16, 2003) Landata Systems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Stewart Information Services Corp. (NYSE-STC ), has promoted Gary Morris to senior vice president of the technical services division and Chuck Warner to vice president of the software development division.

Morris was appointed vice president of his division in Jan. 2002 and became chief technology officer for the entire Stewart organization in Nov. 2002. In addition to taking on expanded executive responsibilities, Morris will also manage the company's new business development team. He will continue as chief technology officer for the Stewart organization.

"Gary has a strong history of providing exceptional customer service while implementing innovative and reliable technology for Landata Systems and Stewart. I am confident his significant contributions will help the company continue to thrive," said Mike Davis, president of Landata Systems and chief information officer for Stewart.

Morris began his IT career in 1981 as operations manager for a multi-line insurance agency, with the responsibility of designing and automating the company's IT and business operations. He was the IT/operations manager and CFO for a regional securities broker/dealer firm before joining Landata Systems in 1997.

Warner's appointment as vice president follows the resignation of Julie Emshoff, former VP of the products division. Emshoff, who moved from Houston to Fort Worth with her husband's new job, will continue to assist Landata and Stewart entities part-time on various special projects.

"Julie dedicated a dozen years to the success of this company, helping to position it as the premier technology and software provider in our industry. We wish her and her family all the best in their new endeavors," Davis said.

Warner assumes the vice presidency with more than 20 years of experience with Landata Systems and its products. One of two chief architects on the VAX AIM® system and the manager in charge of the original AIM® for Windows® development group, Warner was involved in the creation of every major product Landata Systems has developed. Most recently, Warner was director of Stewart Title Guaranty and AIM software development for Landata Systems.

"In his past roles, Chuck already led many of the company's important, successful software development initiatives, placing him in the perfect position to oversee all of our development projects," Davis said. "His extensive knowledge about our company, its products and the industry in general, will allow him to be a valuable, effective leader in all areas of software development."
