Mr. Paul Hobby

Paul W. Hobby is a co-founder of Genesis Park, a Houston-based private equity business specializing in technology and communications investments. In addition to serving as a director of NRG Energy, Inc. (NYSE:NRG), he was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Alpheus Communications , LP, a Texas metro fiber and data center business from 2004 to 2011. He has had extensive public company experience in mergers and acquisitions. He serves currently as Chairman of the Houston Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas and as an appointee on the Texas Ethics Commission. He has also chaired a number of state agencies and civic initiatives.

Mr. Hobby is a graduate of the University of Virginia and the University of Texas School of Law, where he has served as an adjunct faculty member and been honored as an Outstanding Young Alumnus. Mr. Hobby is active in community affairs, and is a frequent speaker on leadership and private equity topics. He has been a Stewart director since 1989.
