Protecting your privacy is our priority

Our commitment to you

For more than 116 years, Stewart has been committed to the real estate industry and to our customers. Part of this commitment includes respecting and protecting the confidential information of our customers. We believe that protecting your privacy is an integral part of the customer service we provide you, and we take this service very seriously.

How we protect you

Stewart's policy is to handle non-public information about our customers or customers of other transaction parties in compliance with the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (15 USC, Subchapter I, Sec. 6801-6809) or applicable state laws. Within the Stewart family of companies, we safeguard customer information in accordance with industry standards. Our policy is provided under the title commitment that is issued prior to the title policy, which states that Stewart does not disclose non-public personal information about our customers. Publicly available information will, however, occasionally be confirmed. Stewart sanctions the sharing of non-public personal information solely with authorized third parties as permitted by law. We do not sell customer information to unaffiliated third parties. In addition, we continually evaluate security practices for ensuring the safety of confidential information.
