HOUSTON (Aug. 31, 2006) - Stewart Geo Technologies has named William J. Shook as its president and chief executive officer.
Former president and CEO Kas Ebrahim will manage further development and marketing of the Stewart re-source Web portal.
Shook has more than 20 years of experience in the mapping industry, most recently serving as territory expansion manager of Digital Map Products. He has worked to deliver customized GIS, orthophotogrammetric and orthorectified mapping solutions to a number of customer segments ranging from federal, state and local governments to aerospace and manufacturing.
"Bill's mapping industry expertise and broad-based business experience has well-prepared him for working with Stewart Geo Technologies," said Don O'Neill, Stewart REI group president. "We will be redesigning this subsidiary's business model to more closely integrate its mapping capabilities with Stewart's other real estate information subsidiaries including GlobeXplorer®, AirPhotoUSA® and REIData Inc."
Shook earned his bachelor of science degree in computer science from the University of North Carolina and a masters degree in business administration from the American Graduate School of International Management - the Thunderbird School - in Phoenix, Ariz.
