HOUSTON (March 27, 2006) -Stewart Title Guaranty Co. has named builder industry veteran Larry Stege as its new national director for builder sales and marketing.
Stege has 25 years in the building industry, with experience in title insurance, software, market research, utility, and appliance distribution. He will be developing a team of builder specialists and creating new and innovative tools for the residential construction industry to attract builder and developer business for Stewart nationwide.

Stege most recently served as district manager for a 14-member sales team covering a 15-state area for Sears Contract Sales, based in Houston. Prior to that position, he was vice president of business development and strategic planning director for Metrostudy, a Houston-based housing industry market research and consulting firm.
He also has made a significant contribution to the home builder industry through trade association involvement at the local, state and national levels, chairing many committees and working as a director and senior officer. Stege is a life director at the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and is currently the NAHB membership chair.
