HOUSTON (May 22, 2002) Stewart Title Guaranty Co., a wholly owned subsidiary of Stewart Information Services Corp. (NYSE-STC), has named Renee Haglund Tierney as vice president, Minnesota division manager, and president of Stewart Title of Minnesota.

"In her four years as Minnesota state manager for Chicago Title Insurance Company, the state flourished under her leadership."
Tierney, a native Minnesotan, worked in the title industry for many years, having responsibility for sales and marketing, escrow operations management and national service coordination. In 1997, she served as president of the Minnesota Land Title Association, the title industry's trade association.
Her most recent position was as an account executive for Synergy PEO Services, a professional employer organization. Tierney attended Southwest State and is a graduate of an executive MBA level program.
