HOUSTON (April 12, 2005) - Stewart Mortgage Information (SMI) has renamed its Texas title operation as Stewart Priority Resources Inc. The company was formerly known as Priority Resources Inc., doing business under both General American Resources and General American Title.
Stewart Priority Resources offers a complete range of insured and uninsured title and settlement services to first and second lien lenders throughout the state of Texas. John Axt serves as president of the company, which is located in north Houston.
"This is an outstanding company that was acquired in 1998 by SMI, and we felt that it was time to brand it as part of the Stewart family," said Axt. "Stewart Priority Resources will aggressively pursue opportunities to provide the whole range of bundled service offerings for lenders across the state of Texas."
