HOUSTON (Feb. 24, 2005) - Stewart Title of Tennessee Inc. has promoted Karen Vaughn to vice president, emergent domestic real estate markets, for Arkansas and Tennessee.
Stewart Title of Tennessee is a subsidiary of Stewart Information Services Corp. (NYSE-STC).
Vaughn has a 13-year history with Stewart Title, holding multiple positions in title insurance and policy administration.
"It is very rewarding to see such a loyal, long-time associate work her way over the years into a management position," said Tom Sagehorn, group president, Stewart Title Co. "Karen has always been a leader and it is great to see people become officers because they are leaders, and not just because of the position or function they serve."
"Karen's familiarity with diversity and emerging market trends, coupled with agency acquisition and human resource development, will enhance Stewart's growth in the new emergent market sector," said Larry S. Bullock, vice president, MidAmerica Region emergent market development. "She will work to substantially enhance our efforts in the Arkansas and Tennessee markets."
Stewart Title has been working to help its offices all across the country meet the needs of their immigrant and minority home-buying and selling customers. Stewart appointed José Menéndez as national director for Emerging Domestic Real Estate Markets in July 2004. Menéndez is working with Stewart representatives to build strategic relationships and business partnerships with various entities to improve homeownership with traditionally underserved buyer segments.
