HOUSTON (March 27, 2006) - Stewart Title Guaranty Co. has named real estate veteran Alan Thompson as a director of multicultural markets for its Southeast region covering Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, South Carolina and Puerto Rico, with additional responsibility as Stewart's national liaison to the National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB®).
Thompson most recently served as senior vice president, Southeast regional manager for Bank of America's neighborhood lending marketing team. In that position, he was a liaison between Bank of America's retail and wholesale operations and various multicultural and community organizations in the Southeast United States, to help market Bank of America mortgage products in multicultural homebuyer segments and underserved markets.
"Alan's networking skills and extensive knowledge of the residential real estate industry makes him the ideal individual to work for Stewart with real estate professionals and lenders within the various multicultural markets in the Southeast region, as well as around the nation," said José Menéndez, vice president, national director for multicultural markets, Stewart Title Guaranty Co.
"As a recognized author and national real estate instructor, he is specifically qualified to conduct a variety of training seminars with our strategic partners, the National Association of Real Estate Brokers and the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) National Housing Commission," added Menéndez. A 20-year Florida real estate licensee, Thompson also is an award-winning multimillion-dollar real estate professional and office manager who has taught principles and practices, law and real estate math, and sales for a Florida school of real estate. Combining his natural selling skills with his teaching experience at the Columbia School of Broadcasting, he also designed a successful four-day sales seminar for real estate professionals. In addition, Thompson has written and designed training courses for several multiple listing services (MLS) and Web technologies, also aimed at real estate professionals.
