City and County of Denver Now Offers Instant Access Online to Recorded Documents through CountyFusion™

Denver, Colorado Clerk & Recorder Implements CountyFusion™ Records Management Software, Powered by PropertyInfo Corporation®

HOUSTON (April 10, 2014) – PropertyInfo Corporation, a Stewart company, announced today that it has successfully completed the installation of its CountyFusion™ records management software system at the Denver Office of the Clerk & Recorder. This software implementation will allow the public to quickly search online the publicly recorded documents of the City and County of Denver, the 2nd most populous county in Colorado with a population of 634,265. The system also allows for the filing of online marriage and civil union applications, which has helped reduce wait times by 300 percent.

“We have made an important step towards bringing this Office to the 21st century—saving the people of Denver time and money.  There are now more than seven million documents online available for public searching,” said Debra Johnson, Denver Clerk and Recorder. “The CountyFusion system offers quick and easy access to recorded documents, and delivers instant customer service instead of a wait time of three to four days through mail. In addition, we have the convenience of accepting credit cards as a payment method.”

The City and County of Denver selected PropertyInfo’s CountyFusion software after a detailed procurement process of evaluating RFP responses with on-site demonstrations. The Honorable Debra Johnson, Clerk & Recorder sought out a vendor to deliver a turn-key recording software solution with the latest in recording technologies to provide increased automation and streamlined functionality – making it more convenient for their constituents to access public records.

PropertyInfo’s comprehensive records management solution for the Denver Clerk & Recorder’s office includes cashiering, imaging, indexing with CountyFusion’s OCR/ICR advanced indexing technology and redaction, full reporting capabilities and performance metrics. In addition, the system provides eRecording, a county search portal, the ability to apply for marriage and civil union applications online, property fraud alerts, disaster recovery and more.

This is PropertyInfo’s second Colorado installation in addition to the Boulder County Clerk & Recorder’s office. “It has been a pleasure working with the Denver Clerk & Recorder’s Office and their experienced, professional team,” said Kyle Chaney, senior vice president of PropertyInfo, government services division. “We are excited to expand in Colorado and look forward to this partnership to deliver courthouse automation to Denver County and its constituents.
