Jerry L. Cook joins Stewart Default Solutions as vice president of compliance and vendor management

Houston (Nov. 21, 2005) - Stewart Default Solutions (SDS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Stewart Mortgage Information (SMI), has named Jerry L. Cook as vice president, compliance and vendor management.

Cook will focus on compliance programs between SDS, attorneys, vendors and new customers, and will also work closely with resellers and vendor management programs. In addition, his responsibilities will include the company's state licensing, customer contracts and the national attorney network.

Cook is an industry veteran, with more than 15 years of compliance and vendor management experience with local attorneys, and previous tenure with SMI as regional title manager. Cook is rejoining Stewart after serving five years as fraud, credit and compliance manager for First Data Corp.

"Jerry's experience and background will be a valuable asset to the SDS startup and ongoing ventures as we come to market," said C. Alan Paylor, president of Stewart Default Solutions. "As a provider of default solutions, our vendor relations are an integral part of the SDS service matrix, and Jerry's background and experience will serve all participants in this process. Jerry holds a BBA from Stephen F. Austin State University and an MBA from Our Lady of the Lake University in Houston, Texas.
