HOUSTON (July 28, 2004) - Stewart Title's Mid-America region has promoted Pat Vaden to group president with responsibility over the Mid-South Group, which includes Stewart Title affiliates and independent agents in Arkansas and Tennessee.
He also was appointed chief information officer for National Land Title Insurance Co., an underwriter affiliated with the Stewart family of companies.
Vaden had served as president and chief executive officer of First Data Systems and Cumberland Title, two Nashville companies acquired by Stewart Title in late 2002.
Molly Dillingham, former executive vice president of First Data Systems, a software developer and national distributor of title technology products, will now serve as the company's president and chief executive officer. Sandy Jackson, longtime vice president of operations for Cumberland Title, one of the oldest and largest real estate closing operations in Tennessee, will now serve as its president and chief executive officer.
"We see the fusion of title and escrow services with SureClose® and other bundled services as key elements in our movement from being a traditional title company to being a more complete transaction management company," said Tom Sagehorn, group president, Stewart Title, Mid-America Region, and president of National Land Title Insurance Co.
"Pat has the knowledge, experience and drive to help us efficiently grow our companies in this direction. His leadership skills in title, bundling and connectivity will help Stewart succeed in serving the real estate and financial services industries," said Sagehorn.
"Stewart Title's commitment to its agents is unparalleled in the title industry and the growth opportunities for our agents is great," said Vaden. "I look forward to being a part of helping our customers grow their businesses."
"Molly has done an outstanding job as First Data Systems EVP and is a well-known figure in our industry," added Sagehorn. "Pat had empowered his management team well, and both Molly and Sandy will ably handle their new responsibilities as the new leaders of their companies."
Dillingham has won Title Technology magazine's Lifetime Achievement Award.
