John, a Washington, DC native grew up in Montgomery County, Maryland and attended the Landon School in Bethesda. He earned a B.A. in History from the Claremont Colleges in Southern California and received his JD from the University of Dayton School of Law in 1992. John is licensed to practice law in Maryland and the District of Columbia and is an active member of the Maryland State and Montgomery County Bar Association as well as the Bar Association of the District of Columbia. He is a licensed title agent in Maryland, the District of Columbia and Virginia. John has taught continuing education classes including a seminar on real estate ethics and was a class instructor at the inception of the REALTORS^® new state of the art property information system- MRIS.

He lives in Bethesda, Maryland with his wife and two boys.
