Please refer to a bulletin issued by Stewart Legal Services on 1-20-14, General Agency Solvency Requirements – Commissioner’s Order 2806.

Other helpful publications from TLTA and TDI on this requirement are available as well.

New! TDI Regulatory changes resulting from a recent rule hearing order are effective 1-3-2014.

Many forms were revised and/or replaced as a result of the 71 amendments recently adopted.

There are important changes in how title agents will be licensed in the future, changes for existing agents, as well as new training requirements for new agent licensing and escrow officers.

Our website has been updated to replace old forms and post new licensing requirements, however, to see all the rule changes, please refer to the newly revised Texas Title Insurance Basic Manual, effective 1-3-2014.  You may also find current forms on TDI’s website.
