Senior Vice President / Multinational Business Development

Mitch Creekmore joined Stewart’s Multinational Title Services Group business development team in 2008 and was formerly with Stewart’s International Group. He is a licensed Texas real estate broker with over twenty-four years of commercial and residential real estate experience.  He began his career with Stewart in 1994 and has been responsible for the development of the company’s marketing strategy and implementation of the business plan for Stewart Mexico. Creekmore’s focus has been working with the legal and real estate communities on both sides of the border regarding the availability and benefit of title insurance in Mexico, how the land conveyance system in Mexico functions and other legal and business aspects.  In support of these efforts, he gained approval from the State Bar of Texas, the Texas Real Estate Commission, the Arizona Department of Real Estate and the California Department of Real Estate to provide mandatory continuing education courses for attorneys and real estate agents entitled Acquiring Property South of the Border.  He is also a designated instructor for the National Association of Realtors’® Doing Business in Mexico real estate course.

Creekmore has authored more than thirty five articles, principally writing for the Arizona Journal of Real Estate and Business on the Mexican system of real estate conveyance, Mexico’s foreign ownership requirements, subdivision development procedures, escrow and tax considerations, ejido and financing issues.  He was appointed Co-Chairman of the Real Estate Task Force on Mexico in 2003 by Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano, in participation with the Arizona-Mexico Commission.  In 2005, he co-authored a book entitled Cashing in on a Second Home in Mexico with Tom Kelly, a Seattle-based syndicated real estate columnist and author.  The pair released their second book, Cashing in on a Second Home in Central America, in 2007.  Creekmore has been a guest speaker at many business and educational conferences throughout Mexico and Central America, as well as in Spain, Portugal, Canada, the Netherlands and South Korea. In 2007, he received the Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) designation from the National Association of Realtors®, as well as the Transnational Referral Certification (TRC) from ICREA (International Consortium of Real Estate Associations). 

Creekmore received a Bachelor of Science in General Studies from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and is bi-lingual in English and Spanish.
