Nassau County Tax Map Verification Letter Fee Reduction

Effective April 25, 2023, the fee for the Nassau County Tax Map Verification Letter is $270.00, reduced from $355.00. The reduction has come as a result of the decision in the matter of Falk v. Nassau County, in which the Nassau County Supreme Court, affirmed by the Appellate Division, Second Department, held that “fees imposed pursuant to Nassau County Administrative Code § 6-33.0 were excessive and improper, as they were exacted for general revenue purposes and not tied to the County's obligation to maintain its property registry.”
