Stewart Title office in Everett, WA suffers a fire, yet business operations continue

HOUSTON (June 26, 2008) – The fire that destroyed a Stewart Title office in Everett, WA has been contained. No injuries have been reported and while the cause of the fire is unclear at this time, office functions are being conducted remotely and are fully operational.

“We are thankful there were no injuries from the fire atour Everett office,” saidStewart Morris Jr., president and co-chief executive officer of Stewart Information Services Corp. “At this time, we are committing all necessary resources to support our employees during this difficult time.”

“Fortunately, no one was injured, and we are able to resume normal operations remotely and from other offices without service interruption,” said Carl Jorgensen, president of Stewart Title of Snohomish County.“We experienced no loss of data and our staff is able to access all files, applications, records and databases required to keep the work flow moving.”
