Amin is a graduate of the University of Memphis in Electrical Engineering. Right after his graduation in 1979, Amin joined Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee as a programmer from whereon he moved to Houston, Texas after being selected by McClelland Engineers to head their Systems Management department.

As they say that great journeys start with humble beginnings, so was Amin's career. In March 1982, Amin joined Landata Systems, Inc of Houston, Texas as Systems Analyst. Landata is an entirely owned IT company of SISCO (Stewart Information Services Corporation). SISCO is one of the largest real estate title insurance underwriters in the United States with a well-established global business. In 1984, Amin was made Product Manager of SISCO's title office production solution called AIM. Later, he was promoted to Vice President of Landata.

After 23 years in the US and a well-established career, Amin left Landata in 1997 to move back to Pakistan to start his own IT venture.

This lead to putting the stepping stone for Descon's IT company, Descon Information Services (DIS), in 1997. While expanding into the US and the UK market, DIS designed and developed Descon's ERP system for their engineering business. In 2007, Amin ventured alongside 4 other partners and founded CTO 24/7 Private Limited.

Ten years down the road, CTO 24/7 continues its tradition of working closely with Stewart to provide Software Development, Consulting and Business Process Services. This includes development of the title production system called AIM and land record management system called landfolio.

After its successful acquisition by SISCO on December 31, 2012; Amin resides as the President of CTO 24/7, Pakistan.
