azalea Regional Shopping Center is an exciting one-of-a-kind project in Southern California. This 32-acre Los Angeles County area project will replace a currently underutilized, vacant site with a dynamic retail project. azalea is an approximately 400,000 square-foot open-air shopping center that will include the highest quality of retailers and brands in a strong Latino demographic. This fully entitled project is the first of its kind done in modern architectural design elements, integrating various public amenities, including a built-in speaker system, Wi-Fi®* and interactive fountains as well as vibrant billboards. azalea will lead the region in innovative design while embracing an environmentally friendly approach.

azalea advances Primestor’s mission of creating quality projects in communities overlooked by other developers. The center will not only feature an architecturally significant option for national credit tenants in a Latino-majority community, but is also a source of job creation in a struggling economy. This investment in the area through a public-private partnership with the City of South Gate will create over 1,134 new jobs. Opening at azalea in 2014 will be over 40 tenants, including Wal-Mart®, Petco®, ULTA®, Ross®, Marshalls®, In N Out®, CVS®, Anna’s Linens®, Panda Express®, G Stage, Skechers® and Subway®, among others.
