Jeff Lanier

Jeff D. Lanier
Head of Commercial Finance

Jeff D. Lanier is Head of Finance for Stewart Title’s Agency and Commercial businesses responsible for overseeing the financial planning and analysis organization to drive business growth and profitability, including Stewart’s Agency Financial Advisory Service; and, Head of Stewart’s Economic Research and Reporting.

Prior to Stewart, Jeff was a leader in Deloitte’s Insurance and M&A practice. He served as Head of Finance & Administration for a national Life and Retirement retail distribution IMO and served for a decade in a variety of leadership roles at AIG including Global Head of Health Business Alliances. He was Vice President and Chief of Staff to the CEO of the AIG Global Life, Health, and Annuity business and was the Director of Strategy & Financial Planning for AIG Life, Health, and Annuity.

He has worked with insurance businesses based in U.S., Japan, UK, China, Ireland, Israel, South Korea, and Latin America.

Jeff has a B.A. and B.A.A. from the University of Texas at Austin, and an M.B.A. from Rice University.

Warren Samek

Warren Samek
Senior Vice President, National Capital Markets

Warren Samek is a Senior Vice President and Regional Manager for Stewart Title National Commercial Services. Prior to joining Stewart Title he spent 10 years at Fidelity National Title’s Major Accounts Division as NCS Senior Vice President over the Seattle and Bay Area markets. He currently serves as advisory board co-chair of the Real Property Risk committee for the artificial intelligence firm OpenCRE AI.

Warren has a background in technology, finance, and commercial real estate with a 22-year career in management and executive leadership at firms such as Shearson Lehman, Wyle Labs, Avaya, Applied Game Theory (now a McKinsey company), and Fidelity National Financial.

Warren holds certifications from IBM as a Data Science Professional and his executive education most recently includes the M.I.T. Applied Data Science and Machine Learning Program with emphasis on large language models for capital markets applications (2023 -2024). He has completed the Stanford University Graduate School of Business Corporate Innovation (L.E.A.D.) program (2016-2018) with emphasis on Commercial Real Estate innovation projects, and the M.I.T. Sloan Executive Program Certificate in Artificial Intelligence (2020) for Decision Support Systems. Warren has held Series 7, 65, and 24 licenses as a registered representative for Shearson Lehman, and is currently a contributing author to provisional patents in the fields of investor sentiment indexing and tradable smart contract technologies in real estate (OpenCRE AI).

Warren is a U.S. Army veteran (Reconnaissance) and has served with distinction winning awards for military competitions, leadership, and deployment performance serving the U.S. Army, the U.S. State Department, and its contractors in Iraq, Afghanistan, Somalia, and Thailand. He served as a military consultant to the U.S. Joint Special Operations Command from 2012 – 2015 in the domain of technology-based asymmetric warfare. In 2007 Warren served in the US Army with distinction as Washington State’s Soldier of the Year. He has achieved leadership awards in competitive military schools including the Distinguished Honor Graduate of the US Army’s Warriors Leader Course and the Draper Leadership Award at the US Army Cavalry Reconnaissance School.
