The impact of foreign investment in the United States on the national and world economy is significant. Nearly $5 Trillion of funds from foreign sources has been invested in the United States at the end of 2021. When an international investment might negatively impact our national security, the Committee for Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) gets involved.
