Below you will find the most frequently asked questions relating to our continuing education program's process and the acquisition of credit hours for Continuing Education "CE" and Contining Legal Education "CLE" credits.

Webinars as of 2020
New webinars will continue to be released the 3rd Thursday of each month and can be accessed in the New Webinar section of the "TX CE & CLE Courses" page in the Education section.

Provide your name and email in the registration form before you watch the webinar. At the end of each recording, once you close the window, you will be directed to the Credit Request Form. Fill out that form in its entirety and click submit.

You’ll be notified your credit was submitted to Sircon within the 30 calendar days allotted.

Webinars beginning 2020
At the end of each recording, you will be directed automatically to the Credit Request Form.

The participant must individually register for each webinar, listen to the entirety of the webinar and provide the 4 passwords given throughout the webinar.

To receive credit, all 4 passwords are required in the order given.

Within 30 calendar days. TDI allows up to 30 calendars days for providers to submit credit to Sircon.

TDI currently requires certificate retention for four years after the date issued.

As per TDI Regulations, each person must be verified by name on a registration list to receive credit.

No—per the TDI, providers can only submit credit confirmation to the person who took the course.

If the incorrect license number was submitted, then your CE Credit cannot be processed through the Sircon website.

The 7-digit TDI license number is found on the left side of your Escrow Officer Certificate of License.

No, TDI approves webinars either for 1 hour of CE or 1 hour of Ethics. They cannot be interchanged.

No. P-28III.A.1 states that continuing education courses must be taken during the actual renewal period. Excess hours may not be carried forward to the next reporting period.

Per the TDI, there will be only one (1) License number per Escrow Officer with all title agents linked to your number.

Processing credits may take up to 30 calendar days.

If 30 days have not passed, they may still be in line to be processed. You may email breeann.ford@stewart.com or CECertificate@stewart.com to confirm receipt of each request.  

If 30 days HAVE passed, we did not receive your credit request, or you did not submit correct information for your credit to be processed. Please email Breeann Ford Sidelinger at breeann.ford@stewart.com or our CECertificate@stewart.com mailbox to investigate this matter further. 

90-days prior to renewal, the TDI will send a notice of renewal – which will contain instructions on how to renew. Further information can be located on the TDI website or email provided for TDI licensing questions.

TDI requires all credit to be submitted via Sircon.

Continuing Legal Education FAQs

At the end of each recording, once you close the window, you will be directed to the Credit Request Form.

Within 30 calendar days, however, we will make a reasonable effort to complete requests sooner. Per the State Bar: CLE sponsors are not responsible for meeting individual attorney reporting deadlines.

To be eligible for CLE Credit you are required to provide us with:

  • Participant Name as it appears on your State Bar license
  • Final Password given at the end of the webinar by the presenter;
  • Texas State Bar License Number
  • Affiliation with Stewart Title

If you are an attorney and an Escrow Officer requesting both CLE and CE Credit, then you must fill out both the "CE + CLE Credit" form or provide required information for both CE and CLE in your e-mailed request.

We are not able to issue credit to any requests missing the final password.
