The following blog is part of our New York team's "To the Point" title insurance news blog series. Learn more about the series via our New York Metro or Upstate New York markets.
Please be advised that the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance has issued a revised version of Form TP-584 (Combined Real Estate Transfer Tax Return, Credit Line Mortgage Certificate, and Certification of Exemption from Estimated Personal Income Tax).
The new TP-584 form is mandatory for all conveyances presented for recording on or after March 1, 2026. The revised TP-584 must be used for all deeds submitted for recording on or after this date. Earlier versions of the TP-584 will no longer be accepted by county recording offices and will be rejected.
The newly revised TP-584 has been integrated into the Westchester County Clerk’s Prep system and the City Register’s ACRIS system.
We always remain available to assist with any questions regarding the updated TP-584 and Instructions.
