These services send you an email or text anytime a document is recorded under your name, giving you earlier visibility into potential issues. Homeowners should notify local law enforcement and consult with legal counsel if they are informed their property has been transferred without their knowledge.

Some attorneys include enrollment in these alerts as part of the property-purchase process. If your customers are interested, they can check their local county clerk’s website to see whether this service is available in their area.
