Overlimit Transaction Approval

For transactions where the policy liability surpasses the limit allowed on your underwriting agreement, please utilize the process below to obtain approval.

  1. Download the Stewart Request for Approval to Issue Overlimit Policy for LA.
  2. After completing the Stewart Request for Approval to Issue Overlimit Policy for LA, submit the completed form, the commitment and any other documents to PolicyApprovalRequest@stewart.com. The request will be registered into our system and assigned to Malcolm Meyer (or another member of our underwriting staff) for review. It is okay, but not necessary, to include Ashley.Coco@stewart.com when submitting.
  3. If there are questions or additional information required, we will reach out to the contact provided on the Stewart Request for Approval to Issue Overlimit Policy for LA. Once our underwriting review is completed, our system will send an email to the contact provided to give written confirmation of conditions to be met and approval.
