Stewart Title Appoints Karen Pallotta and Manolo Sánchez to Board of Directors
HOUSTON (December 17, 2019) – Stewart Information Services announced today the appointments of Karen Pallotta and Manolo Sánchez to the company’s board of directors. Pallotta most recently served as president of KRP Advisory Services, LLC since 2012. Sánchez is currently a director at Fannie Mae, OnDeck Capital and BanCoppel (Mexico) after having served as Chairman and CEO of BBVA Compass for 10 years.
Pallotta has more than 25 years of experience in financial services, risk management and mortgage banking, 21 of those being with Fannie Mae. She retired in 2011 as the Executive Vice President, Single Family Mortgage Business.
Sánchez brings to the Stewart board more than 27 years of experience in the banking industry, working in the U.S., Mexico, France and Spain, having served in executive roles in risk management, real estate, correspondent, community, corporate and investment banking. During his tenure at BBVA Compass, Sánchez served as a director of the American Bankers Association, the Institute of International Bankers, the Greater Houston Partnership, the Financial Services Roundtable and BITS (the technology policy division of FSR).

Pallotta received her bachelor’s degree from The Pennsylvania State University and her MBA from the University of Maryland.
A graduate of Yale University, Sánchez earned his master’s degrees in international relations from the London School of Economics and in advanced European economics from the College of Europe in Bruges, Belgium.
Stewart Chief Corporate Development Officer John Magness to Provide Strategic Oversight to Direct Operations
HOUSTON (January 5, 2018) – Stewart today announced John Magness will provide strategic oversight to Stewart’s U.S. Direct Operations as an expanded part of his role as Chief Corporate Development Officer. Magness is a well-respected industry veteran who joined Stewart in October of 2017, bringing deep knowledge and a strong track record from nearly 35 years in title insurance and real estate. Dave Fauth will continue in his role as Group President, Direct Operations and support John in leading the growth strategy.
Magness’ extensive leadership experience will allow for Stewart’s rapid expansion, effective management of potential acquisitions and continued growth opportunities. He works across all business lines to increase market share and maximize profitability. His specific concentration on enhancing Stewart’s branch offices will strengthen the support and resources delivered to Direct Operations, associates and customers.

Prior to joining Stewart this past fall, Magness most recently served as President at Old Republic Title, where he led all revenue-producing efforts for direct and agency operations, commercial operations, technical service operations and entities in the title group. Before serving as President, he held a variety of leadership roles including: Senior Vice President of Texas and New Mexico Direct Operations Manager; President of the Central Title Group; and Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for the Title Group. Prior to Old Republic, Magness served as Executive Vice President at the Land America Financial Group where he directed operations across 17 states.

A native Texan and long-time Houston resident, Magness holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Houston and is a member of the American Land Title Association.
Stewart Title Announces Winning Verdict
HOUSTON (May 2, 2011) – Stewart Information Services Corporation (NYSE: STC) today announced a winning verdict in a case involving Stewart Title Guaranty Co. and Citigroup Global Markets Realty Corp. that was decided on April 29, 2011 by a Texas state court jury.
